- General Characteristics: It grows to 30–45 m tall, with a trunk 60–90 cm diameter, heavily buttressed at the base, with smooth bark. The leaves are alternate, 5–10 cm long, divided into two leaflets with acuminate apices. The flowers are white, with four sepals and no petals. The fruit is a pod 4–6 cm long and 2.5–3.5 cm broad.
