- General Characteristics: Deciduous trees, to 20 m high, bole fluted; bark 10-12 mm thick, surface grey, smooth. Leaves paripinnate, alternate.Flowers polygamodioecious, greenish-yellow.Fruit a drupe.
- Wood Anatomy: Growth rings are fairly distinct, undulating, and delimited by somewhat dark and dense latewood fibers. Vessels diffuse-porous Medium to small, few to moderately numerous, somewhat unevenly distributed, mostly solitary and in radial multiples of 2 or 3;
