- General Characteristics: Trees, to 30 m high, bole straight, buttressed; bark 4-7 mm thick, surface grey-brown or yellow,Leaves imparipinnate, alternate.Flowers polygamous bright yellow,fruit a drupe.
- Wood Anatomy: Growth rings are scarcely distinct. Vessels diffuse-porous, medium. moderately few to few, solitary, or in radial multiples of 2, 3, or more; often filled with tyloses and yellowish deposits.Rays moderately broad, rather widely spaced.
